Step 1: A basic braid has three strands. To begin, divide a low ponytail into three equal sections.
Step 2: Cross the left section over the middle section and hold with your right hand.
Step 3: Cross the right section over the middle section and hold with your left hand.
Step 4: Continue the pattern until your braid is as long as you like it, then secure with a coated elastic.
